Carpet cleaning is some of those areas in life when your mother definitely was aware best. While it is always best to call a professional carpet cleaner how many of us actually do every time you will find there's spill?

The carpet cleaning market is awash with chemical spot cleaners claiming to take out any stains. The problem with these chemical spot removers is they are able to got harm to the fibers of your carpets, significantly shortening the life of your expensive carpet and ultimately causing high replacement costs.

Prior to the times of chemical cleaners in the supermarket our mothers had plenty of alternative carpet cleaning methods which were just as effective since certainly less damaging. Below is a list of the best home rug cleaning tips for common house hold spills.

CANDLE WAX: Start by removing as much of the dry wax from the carpet as you can, a butter knife or credit-based card work well. When you have removed the excess wax place a damp towel above the area and use a warm iron to thaw the wax. The water vapor draws the wax onto the towel. You only need some sort of damp towel as you can't want to make that carpet underlay wet.

LIPSTICK: Try covering the lipstick in Vaseline. Rub the Vaseline into the stain and then take away any excess Vaseline. Clean the spot with a damp wash cloth using warm soapy mineral water.

BUBBLE GUM: There are four different solutions to getting bubble gum out of carpets. The first may be the ice trick. Try to freeze the gum and crack it off with some ice but be certain to mop up many of the water that gets on the carpet. The second method takes a bit more bravery: peanut butter. Rub peanut butter above the gum and leave it for a few minutes to soak with. Use a damp rag in the picking up moment to adopt the gum and butter off the carpet. Use a clean damp cloth to clean off any excess peanut butter. The last two methods are the identical but use either WD-40 or lighter fluid to dissolve the gum.

MUD: work with a foaming shaving cream. Place the cream on the mud just the summer minutes then dap the spot with a clean cloth.
