Undercover Boss is an American 2010 reality telly series, based on the British number of the same name. Each episode depicts an individual who has a high management position with a major business, deciding to become undercover to be an entry-level employee to discover the faults in the company. The first series contains nine episodes produced last year and first aired with February 7, 2010 on CBS.

The series was a ratings success for the network, with its premiere show receiving 38. 6 million viewers as well as a share of 32 %. The first season was the most popular new show in any genre from the 2009-10 television season having an average audience of 19. 7 million viewers.

On March 27, 2011, Undercover Boss was officially picked for the third season by CBS, but will not signature until Winter 2012 with established an undetermined amount regarding episodes.

Repeats of Undercover Boss happen to be picked up by TLC and also OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network. Broadcasts on TLC began on July 25, 2011, initially Mondays at 8PM ET, later moving to Thursdays from 9PM ET; OWN has also transmit repeats of Undercover Supervisor since Fall 2011.

Neither the company nor its executive receives a commission from, or give money in order to, CBS or the show's producers.

On March 27, 2011, CBS officially renewed "Undercover Boss" for a third season. On May 18, 2011, CBS then announced that it might be holding the show to get a mid-season replacement to signature Sunday January 15, 2012 with an undetermined quantity of episodes.
