Previously on a single Tree Hill Season 9 Episode 1 "Know This, We Noticed", Brooke and Julian struggle to find time to rest while they care for their twin babies. At the Christening in the twins, Brooke's father attends. Haley allows Dan to stay in the family home while his diner has burned up down and Nathan returns to find him positioning Lydia.
On this week's Episode title "In everyone in the room Where You Sleep", Nathan heads to European countries for his latest job, leaving Dan behind regarding his family. Elsewhere, Brooke and her dad look at a business opportunity; Millie has trouble being truthful with Mouth; and Alex gets some sort of tempting invitation from Joe.

While the teenagers find it hard to find their places in the world, the adults in Tree Hill are handling the residue of decisions they made rice. Nathan's father Dan as well as Lucas' mother Karen were senior high school sweethearts. When Karen became pregnant in their senior year, she was devastated by Dan's decision to place his own life as well as career first. He knows he is partly to blame for Dan's decision to not give up his scholarship when Karen started to be pregnant, and he has to help juggle conflicting responsibilities and loyalties toward each boys.
Years in the generating, a deep and nasty conflict slowly unfolds since the two boys struggle to comprehend who they really are and a father who has chosen to reside in vicariously through one daughter, while ignoring the existence with the other.
