There have been many media testimonials singing high praises for Goji berry juice and the fruit from which the drink is derived. One magazine headlines the beverage as an "amazing Asian super-juice". A newspaper reports on Goji berry's link to Tibetan and Chinese peoples' longevity. In a TV talk show, Goji berry juice has been hailed for the antioxidant it packs.

There is no lack either of scientific studies and researches extolling the virtues of Goji berry juice, particularly the health beverage derived from the Himalayan Goji berry. Often cited in online promotional materials for this drink is a double-blind clinical trial involving subjects given Goji Berry juice and a placebo for 14 days. The subjects taking the juice were reported to have significantly experienced health improvements compared to the placebo group. After the test, these Goji berry juice drinkers supposedly felt an improvement in their physical performance, had less fatigue and reduced stress, as well as sharper mental acuity and increased focus.

Several explanations have been advanced as to how these general feeling of health and well being were achieved by drinking Gory berry juice, especially that derived from the Himalayan Goji berry. The contention is that the Himalayan berries are more packed with nutrients as they are cultivated from secluded valleys which have rich alkaline soils and are isolated from pollutants. The cultivation method of these berries has also been based on traditional farming that does away with chemical fertilizers and pesticides. The resulting harvest is an organic produce that surpasses Western standards and makes for the ideal Goji berry juice.

The beverage extracted from the Himalayan Goji berry has dense polysaccharide content which boosts the immune system. Research claims say that the polysaccharide contained in Goji berry juice harbors a potent substance called secretagogue which induces the secretion of human growth hormones by the pituitary gland. This secretion process is most beneficial to aging individuals whose pituitary glands secrete less and less growth hormones over the years. Goji berry juice hence acts as an anti-aging agent and a rejuvenating drink for these older people.

A person's requirement for beta-carotene can also be supplied by the Himalayan Goji berry. Beta-carotene is important because the human liver's enzymes can transform this substance to Vitamin A which in turn is helpful in preventing eye disorders, especially to the elderly. Significant quantities of vitamins B1 and B2 can also be found in Goji berry juice. In its freeze-dried form, the Himalayan Goji berry was likewise determined to contain 73 mg of Vitamin C per 100 grams, a content higher than those that could be found in oranges. Eighteen types of amino acids are also present in Goji berry juice, substances that are essential to normal human body functions.

Another beneficial content supposedly present in Himalayan Goji berry products is betaine, a substance that enables the liver to produce choline, a chemical compound that calms the nerves and enhances a person's memory. Betaine has also been reported able to promote muscle growth and contribute to the prevention of fatty liver disease, as well as heart disease.
